Tricia grew up nearby, attended elementary school in town, and over the years the couple made a tradition of staying at Nassau Inn whenever they visited family—especially during Thanksgiving weekend and the annual tree lighting in Palmer Square. Getting Ready in the Heart of Princeton

The morning started quietly, with final touches taking place just steps from downtown Princeton. Tricia wore a structured satin gown with delicate pearl details and a soft tulle cape that moved beautifully throughout the day. Her bouquet featured white roses, orchids, and greenery, perfectly complementing the timeless feel of the celebration.

Meanwhile, Lenny got ready with his high school best friend, who traveled from Germany. He dressed in a tailored blue suit with a pale tie and classic calla lily boutonniere. Before the ceremony began, the bride and groom shared a quiet first look tucked among the historic stone pathways surrounding their Princeton wedding venue. Lenny’s expression completely softened the second he turned around and saw Tricia, while she immediately broke into the kind of smile that says everything without needing words. Before the ceremony, we wandered through some of the most recognizable areas surrounding Princeton University for portraits together. The combination of historic stone archways, lush gardens, towering trees, and quiet pathways created such a beautiful variety without needing to travel far.

Tricia and Lenny were incredibly relaxed together, which made the entire portrait portion of the day feel natural and easy. Rather than overly posed moments, their gallery became filled with movement, laughter, quiet smiles, and the kind of connection that naturally unfolds when a couple is genuinely comfortable together.

One of my favorite portrait locations from the day was beneath Blair Arch, where the warm light filtered through the stone passageway and wrapped around them perfectly. We also spent time in the gardens near Prospect House, where blooming flowers and greenery softened the more formal architectural backdrop of their Princeton wedding venue celebration.

A Ceremony Rooted in Family and Tradition

Their outdoor ceremony at Nassau Inn beautifully reflected the importance of family, culture, and connection. With loved ones traveling from Germany and family gathered from across the United States and the Philippines, the ceremony felt deeply intentional from beginning to end. One of the most meaningful parts of the ceremony was the incorporation of family traditions that honored both their backgrounds and the joining of their families.

These unity rituals served as a beautiful reminder that a wedding celebrates more than two people—it brings together generations, histories, and loved ones who have helped shape the couple’s journey. Standing beneath the arbor with their family gathered around them, the symbolism felt especially powerful as they officially began this next chapter together.

They first attempted a candle lighting ceremony, symbolizing two lives joining together as one. Even though the wind made lighting the candle impossible, the moment became a joyful one filled with laughter from both the couple and guests. Later, siblings stepped forward to place a ceremonial veil over the bride and groom, symbolizing unity, protection, and entering marriage together as one. The maid of honor and best man then wrapped them in an infinity cord, representing eternal commitment and an unbreakable bond. Finally, Lenny presented ceremonial coins to Tricia during the arrhae tradition, symbolizing prosperity, trust, and the promise to support one another throughout their marriage. Together, these traditions made the ceremony feel incredibly personal and grounded in the values that mattered most to them: family, connection, and building a life together.

One particularly emotional moment came during speeches, when the bride’s father shared heartfelt stories that had everyone laughing one minute and tearing up the next. Tricia’s reaction throughout the toasts said everything. You could feel how loved and supported the couple was by the people surrounding them.

Once the formalities wrapped up, the dance floor opened quickly and stayed full throughout the night. Guests moved easily between conversations, dancing, cake, and celebration, creating the kind of reception energy that feels lively without becoming chaotic.

Some of my favorite reception photographs from the evening were actually the smaller in-between moments happening around the edges of the dance floor. Getting married was always going to be the highlight of the day for Tricia and Lenny, but what made the moment so meaningful was being surrounded by the people who helped them get there. As Tricia shared, marrying the person she loves and trusts most while celebrating with family and friends felt like an incredible blessing. Even loved ones who couldn’t be there were very much in their hearts throughout the day.
