This Heritage Hills Golf Resort wedding was everything Alexa and Dan described from the very beginning: simple, elegant, and completely centered around the two of them and the people who matter most.
From the moment I met them at a wedding expo, I knew this was going to be fun. We vibed instantly, and that energy carried all the way through their engagement session and into their wedding day. They’re the kind of couple that doesn’t overcomplicate things—they show up fully, love each other well, and trust the process. Getting to walk alongside them through this entire journey was such a privilege.
If you’re planning your own day and looking for a space that keeps everything seamless and in one place, a Heritage Hills Golf Resort wedding makes that incredibly easy, and Alexa and Dan made the most of it.

One of the standout features of this Heritage Hills Golf Resort wedding is the getting-ready experience—and Alexa’s bridal suite did not disappoint. The two-story layout and that massive window overlooking the grounds created such a beautiful, light-filled space to start the day.
There was laughter, music, and a whole lot of personality in that room. Alexa was surrounded by her people, and it showed in every moment, from dancing around in pajamas to those tight, joyful hugs before she stepped into her dress.
Her dress hung in front of that big window, backlit by the rolling hills of Central PA, setting the tone for a day that felt both elevated and grounded.

Before seeing Dan, Alexa shared a couple of first looks that set the tone for the day. She had been very secretive about her dress, so when she revealed it to her bridesmaids, the reaction was genuine, pure excitement, hands in the air, the whole room lighting up. And then her brother, who had been “mad” for months about not getting a preview, saw her for the first time, his reaction shifting quickly from playful frustration to pride. It was equal parts fun and meaningful, and such a good reflection of who she is and the people around her.
Alexa told me that she was most anxious about one thing, “when I could see my man’s again lol”—and honestly, that kind of says everything about what mattered most to her.
Their first look was exactly what you’d expect from a couple like them: real, unfiltered, and full of anticipation finally being released. There was this moment of pause, like everything else fell away, and it was just the two of them again.
That energy carried straight into the ceremony.

Alexa shared that her favorite moment of the day was seeing Dan waiting for her at the end of the aisle, and you could feel that the second she stepped forward.
After all the planning, the waiting, the build-up… that was the moment everything landed.
The ceremony space at this Heritage Hills Golf Resort wedding was framed by clean lines and natural surroundings, and even with the bright, sunny conditions we were working with, the setting held its own. The light was strong, but the emotion was stronger and that’s what carried these moments.

If there’s one piece of advice Alexa gave that perfectly sums up their day, it’s this:
“The less shits you give the more funs you’re going to have.” And they lived that.
From the groomsmen showing off their socks and joking around to the bridesmaids hyping Alexa up at every turn, the entire wedding party brought this relaxed, high energy presence that carried straight into happy hour on the lawn, making everything feel easy and genuinely fun.
Even when things weren’t perfect (like a bustle that didn’t quite cooperate), it didn’t matter. The focus stayed exactly where it needed to be, on having a good time and being present with each other.

This was the moment I had been waiting for all day.
We were working with bright, direct sunlight for most of the afternoon, but as soon as that golden hour glow started to settle in, everything shifted. The grounds at this Heritage Hills Golf Resort wedding finally got their moment—soft, warm light reflecting off the water, long shadows stretching across the grass, and just the right amount of movement in the air.
Alexa and Dan leaned all the way into it.
They laughed, ran, slowed down, and just enjoyed being together. No pressure, no overthinking—just the two of them, exactly as they are. Those are always the images that hit the hardest, and this was no exception.

When Alexa said they splurged on music and lights, she meant it.
The reception space transformed as the night went on—colorful lighting, a packed dance floor, and moments that ranged from emotional to completely unhinged in the best way. The Bachelor Boys Band brought the energy, and the crowd matched it.
From heartfelt dances to guests fully committing to the party (including some very bold wig choices), the dance floor stayed alive all night long.

“I met Lara at a wedding expo in November of 2024. We vibed right away, and I was lucky enough to win an engagement shoot! Before we even had our engagement shoot, I knew Lara was who I wanted to document and capture our big day. She’s attentive, easy to talk with, and the love she has for her art is so genuine and evident in her work.
Our engagement shoot was May, the weather was unpredictable, but Lara was a pro the whole day. My fiancé (who’s not the biggest fan of being photographed) felt great and really benefitted from her direction. We are obsessed with our pictures from the engagement shoot, and cannot wait to work with Lara again!”

Alexa and Dan, this day felt like you from start to finish. Easy, fun, grounded, and full of love.
I hope you keep that same energy in everything you build together. The way you show up for each other is something special, and it was an honor to be there to capture it. I can’t wait to capture all the exciting milestones to come.
