A Fun-Loving Drumore Estate Wedding for Michaela and Mark

Filed in Pennsylvania, Wedding Days — June 29, 2026

Some wedding days feel like the natural conclusion of a long-awaited chapter. Michaela and Mark’s Drumore Estate wedding was exactly that.

After eight years together, six of them spent navigating long distance, these high school sweethearts finally found themselves standing hand in hand, surrounded by family, friends, and the gardens they had fallen in love with. It was a day filled with excitement, happy tears, and the kind of joy that only comes from knowing you’ve found your person.

From Engagement Session to Wedding Day

Long before their wedding day arrived, Michaela and Mark chose Drumore Estate for their engagement session. The estate’s gardens immediately felt like the perfect reflection of their relationship, and spending the evening exploring the grounds together made it easy to understand why they ultimately chose it for their wedding day. Their engagement photos captured the anticipation of what was to come. Their wedding day captured the fulfillment of it.

If you haven’t already seen it, you can read more about their engagement session here:

Why They Chose Drumore Estate

When asked what made them fall in love with their venue, Michaela’s answer was simple: the gardens.

It’s easy to see why.

Every corner of a Drumore Estate wedding offers something unique, from the formal gardens and winding pathways to the historic architecture and manicured grounds. The estate creates a sense of elegance without feeling stuffy, making it a perfect fit for Michaela and Mark’s fun-loving and traditional vision.

They even admitted that the venue was their biggest splurge, and after seeing how beautifully everything came together, I’d say it was worth every penny.

A First Look Worth Waiting For

While every wedding day has memorable moments, Michaela already knew what she was most excited about.

Her answer?

“Doing our first look. I had been looking forward to seeing Mark all day and couldn’t wait to give him a huge hug and show him my dress.”

After spending years balancing distance and time apart, there’s something especially meaningful about finally getting to share moments like these without having to say goodbye afterward.

Their first look took place outside the manor house and was one of my favorite moments from the day. The anticipation quickly turned into laughter, smiles, and a whole lot of emotion as they finally saw one another.

It was the perfect way to begin the next chapter of their story together.

A Ceremony Surrounded by Gardens

Guests gathered beneath the trees and garden blooms for a ceremony that perfectly reflected Michaela and Mark’s traditional side.

Their processional featured All of Me, while Forever After All accompanied their joyful recessional as they made their way back down the aisle as newlyweds.

As the ceremony unfolded, you could feel the excitement from everyone present. These weren’t just guests attending a wedding; they were people who had watched Michaela and Mark grow together through nearly a decade of life and love.

Why Drumore Estate Photographs So Beautifully

One of my favorite things about Drumore Estate is how much variety it offers without ever requiring couples to leave the property. Throughout the day, Michaela and Mark were able to move seamlessly between formal gardens, historic brick architecture, manicured hedges, sweeping lawns, and elegant reception spaces, creating a gallery that feels diverse while still maintaining a cohesive look.

It’s a venue that photographs beautifully in every direction, allowing couples to spend less time traveling and more time enjoying their wedding day. For a celebration centered around being present with family and friends, Drumore Estate provides the perfect balance of beauty, convenience, and timeless character.

The Celebration They Hoped For

When Michaela and Mark looked back on their Drumore Estate wedding, one thing stood out above everything else: the celebration. Leading up to the big day, their biggest concern wasn’t the weather or the timeline—it was making sure their guests had an amazing time. Thankfully, that worry disappeared the moment the reception began. Friends and family filled the room with laughter, conversation, and plenty of dancing, creating exactly the kind of joyful atmosphere they had envisioned. As they looked around the room, seeing so many of their favorite people together in one place made all eight years of their journey feel even more meaningful.

The reception was also where months of planning truly came to life. Michaela shared that she was surprised by how seamlessly everything came together, saying it felt like their Pinterest board had jumped off the screen and into reality. From the thoughtful details to the beautiful florals and lively dance floor, every piece reflected the fun-loving yet traditional celebration they had dreamed about. Looking back, she credits their incredible vendor team as one of the best decisions they made, noting that everyone went above and beyond to make the day feel special and memorable.

A Wedding Day They Wouldn’t Change

Perhaps the strongest testament to the day came when I asked what they would change if they could go back and do it all again. Without hesitation, the answer was nothing. Every laugh, every hug, every dance, and every memory made their wedding feel exactly right. Sometimes the best weddings aren’t the ones that go perfectly according to plan; they’re the ones that feel so completely like you that you’d happily relive them exactly as they happened. For Michaela and Mark, this celebration was one of those days.

Well Wishes

Michaela and Mark, thank you for trusting me with such an important chapter of your story. Watching the two of you celebrate after eight years together was incredibly special, and it was obvious to everyone around you just how much love and support surrounds your relationship.

I hope the years ahead are filled with new adventures, plenty of laughter, and many more memories that feel just as meaningful as this one. Congratulations again, Mr. and Mrs. Wooten.

Kind Words

Working with Michaela and Mark from their engagement session through their wedding day was such a joy. Hearing their reflections afterward absolutely made my week:

“Working with Lara was an absolute dream!! From the beginning of our planning process, to engagement shoot, and then finally to our big day; she absolutely killed it!! Timelines are hard to follow when chaos ensues but Lara did a phenomenal job at keeping everyone in line and making sure that Mark and I got exactly what we asked for and more!! Not only is Lara an excellent photographer, but she’s an amazing person as well! Her fun-loving, sarcastic, and empathetic self made working with her a breeze (and helped us calm some nerves too!!)!! We couldn’t thank you enough!!”

If you’re planning your own Drumore Estate wedding and looking for a photographer who will help you stay present while creating timeless images of your day, I’d love to hear your story.
