Some wedding days just click from the moment they begin, and Carlee and Michael’s garden party wedding was one of them—sunny, emotional, wildly fun, and full of the kind of energy that makes you smile every time you think about it. With a vision rooted in boho texture and garden-inspired beauty, everything came together even better than they imagined.

Carlee splurged on her dress, and honestly, the moment she stepped into it, it was clear why. The off-the-shoulder neckline, the structured bodice, and the subtle floral texture looked like they were made just for her. Watching her glow in it—during laughter-filled getting-ready moments, during vows, and under the twinkle of reception lights—felt like one of those connections between bride and dress you just don’t forget.

One of the most meaningful moments of their garden party wedding happened long before guests ever took their seats. After their first look—full of laughter, hugs, and that instant comfort they find in each other—Carlee and Michael walked together to the ceremony arbor to share their private vows.
And honestly? It was brilliant.
The floral arch was already stunning on its own, overflowing with roses and clouds of baby’s breath, but getting to use it twice made the space feel even more personal. With no one else around and the garden quiet around them, they stood beneath the same arch that would later witness their “I dos” and read the words they saved just for each other.
It was intentional, intimate, and beautifully grounded. They got to soak in the moment without an audience, take their time, hold hands, and breathe before the day picked up speed. And by the time guests arrived for the ceremony, Carlee and Michael were fully settled into the joy of the day, ready to experience the arbor again—this time with everyone they love cheering them on.

Their ceremony struck that perfect balance between heartfelt and joy-filled. Carlee wiped away tears as she read her vows, and Michael’s soft expression told its own story. Surrounded by fresh florals and framed by fall leaves overhead, the ceremony embodied everything a garden party wedding is known for: romance, fresh air, and a setting that feels alive.
The moment they walked back through a shower of rose petals, hand in hand, the celebration officially hit full speed.

The venue’s outdoor character truly came alive during portraits. Golden light filtered through the trees and across the grass, petals drifted softly around their feet, and Carlee and Michael moved together with the kind of ease that makes portraits feel natural and fun. Their garden-inspired aesthetic shone in every frame, from the florals to the soft textures to the bright, warm energy between them.

Once the ceremony wrapped and the sun dipped low, the celebration shifted into the venue’s intimate barn—a warm, welcoming space that instantly felt like the perfect fit for Carlee and Michael’s reception. With seating for up to 80 guests, the barn creates the kind of atmosphere that lets everyone feel close to the action. No distant tables, no cavernous hall—just one beautifully designed room where every laugh, hug, and happy tear feels shared.
As guests found their seats beneath hanging greenery and soft ambient lighting, the energy softened into something cozy and heartfelt. The barn’s design blends rustic texture with romantic garden elements, giving couples a space that feels elevated without losing the warmth of a smaller gathering. It’s one of the things A Garden Party does best: creating spaces where intimate weddings still feel full of character and celebration.

Carlee and Michael kicked off the reception with their first dance to Morgan Wallen’s cover of You Make It Easy, and it was such a standout moment. They slipped into their own little world the second the music started—smiling, swaying, laughing under the warm glow of the barn lights. Guests watched with that mix of joy and emotion that only happens when you know a couple is fully, fully in love.

And then the dance floor absolutely exploded.
This was the moment Carlee said was her favorite—and it’s easy to see why. With DJ Drumatic firing up the music. Bubble guns filled the air with shimmering color. Glow sticks lit up the crowd. Friends and family packed the dance floor until the very end. Carlee and Michael, who worried about being in front of people, completely forgot about nerves and danced with full hearts and zero hesitation.
Carlee and Michael danced like no one was watching—totally out of their shells, completely in the moment, and surrounded by exactly the people they wanted with them. If the ceremony was romantic and meaningful, the reception was pure joy from beginning to end.

“Lara was amazing. I truly couldn’t imagine anyone else capturing my day. My wedding photos are one of the most important things to me, and I could see how hard she worked capturing every detail while still enjoying herself too! I’m so grateful for her and her hard work, and I’d like to say we both left my wedding night as friends.”
